Chapter One
Isabelle when her mother was still alive
There was once a girl named Isabelle who was now ten years old. Isabelle was an orphan, when she was three years old her father died of lung cancer and she went to live with her mother from that day on, but when Isabelle was eight years old her mother died with a heart-attack. Isabelle was then placed into a building called an 'Orphanage.' When she was nine years old a young lady named Emma Perkins came to adopt her. Emma was in a relationship with a man named Jermaine Jackson. Jermaine took in Isabelle as his very own daughter, but Emma did not. Emma treated Isabelle very badly, sometimes when Jermaine is at work Emma will not give Isabelle any food to eat and she will make Isabelle do every chores in the house without getting any rest.
One day Isabelle could not take the bad treatment which Emma had given to her anymore, so she decided to run away. Not knowing anyone, she was on her own. Isabelle was walking by her lonesome self ,thinking "Where am I going, What am I going to do." Not realizing that she was thinking out loud, she heard a voice saying "What's the matter little girl, where are you going at this time."
Isabelle was a little afraid at first, but then she started to face her fear. She turned around to face the voice that spoke to her.
"I am running away because my foster mother had been ill-treating me."
"Where are you going?" the stranger asked.
"I'm not sure, am just walking and looking for someone to adopt me," answered Isabelle.
"What's your name little girl?" asked the stranger.
"Isabelle," she shyly answered.
"Ok then Isabelle, my name is Steve Palmer," said the stranger.
"Can you adopt me, Steve?" asked Isabelle, hoping for Steve to say yes.
"Am not sure if I can adopt you, but I can take you home for the night," replied Steve.
"Ok," said Isabelle, "let's go."
Isabelle and Steve held each other hands together and walked home to Steve's house. Isabelle wondered if she was making the right choice by going with Steve . Her heart told her that she was doing the right thing so she went along although her heart was beating fast. Steve was also wondering if he was doing the right thing. He wondered what his wife, Sharon, is going to say . He really hope that she will agree to keep Isabelle, has she seems like a really nice child . Even if it's just for a while.
When Isabelle and Steve reached the house, Steve knocked on the door and stood waiting for his wife---Sharon to answer. When Sharon answered the door she was suprised to see her husband with a child in his hand. "Hi," Sharon said waving to Isabelle.
"Hi," replied Isabelle.
"What's her name Steve?" asked Sharon.
"Why don't you ask her, I mean she is right in front of you," said Steve.
"What's your name darling?"asked Sharon speaking softly.
"Isabelle," answered Isabelle.
"Well, hello Isabelle why are you here?" Sharon asked.
"I'm a orphan and my foster mother treated me badly and I had to run away, on my journey I met Steve and Steve carried me here to stay for the night. So, will you adopt me." Isabelle answered.
" Ok, you can stay not only for the night but for as long as you want," said Sharon.
"Ok," said Isabelle.
The small family then went inside the house. Isabelle wanted to live with her new family forever they were two reasons why; the first reason is that they treated her nicely and the second reason is that the house looked beautiful. The house was painted in orange and blue. The walls were painted blue, while the doors and windows were painted in orange.

Steve and Sharon's house
Every day Isabelle will wake up early to get ready for school, for as the months past Steve and Sharon bought a bed and school supplies so that they can send Isabelle to school. Isabelle also got her own room. When it was in the month of November, Isabelle was happy. She was happy because November was the month which Isabelle's mother gave birth to her. So it was soon to be Isabelle's birthday. Isabelle was born on November 18, 2010.
Isabelle was very overjoyed as she knows that Steve and Sharon are going to get her something nice for her birthday . They said "Isabelle we promise that we are going to take good care of you." Isabelle loved her new family, for every occasions they will be their just to see that Isabelle was okay.
